Good points, but I hope my cynicism doesn't overwhelm me. I am not certain that books will help--even back as far as "A Texan Looks at Lyndon", the truth doesn't seem to convince a gullible, selfish, confiscatory American public.
Most people vote for Democrats for what money can be forcefully taken away from others and given to them, directly or indirectly. This type of voter doesn't give a tinker's damn about honor, or lack thereof, in their political frontmen.

But as we all know, elections these days are won by the registered Independent voters who tend to be more conservative than liberal. And the more voters learn about Ketchup the less they like him.

Envy, avarice, anger ... three of the Seven Deadly Sins that motivate Democrats to vote Democrat.
