Cannibalism, slavery, and human sacrifice to all intents and purposes has "gone away" in the western world. The people who engage in these acts are now seen as deviants that should be captured and kept out of society.
There was no need for "radical mullahs" in order for society to realize these actions were abhorrent. The same future could befall abortion.
We'll just have to wait and see.
