Article in the NY Times TV section mentioned that CNN beat FOX handily, but then added that this was to be expected, because the Dem/liberal viewers expected too be interested in the DNC would gravitate to CNN...

Another story had FOX/PBS/MSNBC/CNN all with bigger ratings for Night 2 than in 2000.

Viewers continued to shrug at the Democratic National Convention, which each of the big three networks covered at 10 p.m. In the very near future, look for the conventions to be relegated to C-SPAN, PBS and one or two cable news channels. And why not? They have become nothing but a long line of campaign speeches. No platform discussions; no suspense as to who the nominees will be; nothing.
