Hatch Act?!

What about the employees that had to outfit Kerry and the rest of teletubbies with the clean suits, escort them around and babysit them?

That's Gov't time!

Someone needs to ask, why the hell was Kerry there anyway?

Look at his fellow bunny, former astronaut, Ohio Senator, John Glenn. Kerry was hoping that rubbing elbows with the 'right stuff' would rub off on him and help in the battleground state of Ohio.

I'm certain they thought it would be a great photo op that would buy some Ohio votes.

But, nobody expected the bunny suits.

Hatch Act rules. If Kerry were just a Senator on a junket it would be okay. But the images are public domain now--too late.

Is it not okay because Kerry & Co. were using them, or because they think we pubbies (via fed workers) were using them?

Too late. The horse is out of the barn.

Or, more correctly, the "bunny" has escaped the Hatch.

I don't get it. The link is dead and the picture doesn't appear.

What's your point?

Either way or both. Federal employees cannot even wear political buttons on the job. As civil servants they must be apolitical. The press are free to report, of course.

"Republican attack machine" had nothing to do with the release

Not true, I will admit, I used my alien mind control raygun to make JF'nK do that silly trick.

images ordered off the website due to concerns over the off chance that this impotent clown will actually get elected, and then slash our funding in a fit of childish rage. DYKWIA?

The heart and soul of this story is Kerry's inability to really connect with the common man. Yes, Kerry looks like a grinning boob in that bunny suit; but who wouldn't?!? For cryin' out loud! The guy's getting up close and personal with a space shuttle! If you take any "common man", dress him in a bunny suit, and turn him loose in the space shuttle, you'll get that same goofy grin every time. But Kerry is so image conscious that he cannot embrace the very same reactions any of us would have in such a position. This is why he always looks so stiff and posed. What you see in the bunny suit is one of his rare, natural moments. Why he should want to run away from that is beyond my ability to comprehend. My only guess would be that after 30+ years of playacting at this public persona, he's unable to stop.

Once the pictures were doctored with the bunny ears.

Doctored? Who would do a thing like that?

This is insane. The Kerry Camp released the freaking pictures themselves!

It is not insane. NASA, as a government agency should never have provided Kerry and friends the photo-op in the first place.
