BAGHDAD, July 29 (Reuters) - Reports that Jordanian militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has been captured in Iraq are false, a senior U.S. military officer and Iraq's Interior Ministry said on Thursday.
Unsourced reports had been circulating on some Web sites saying Zarqawi had been captured by Iraqi police and that DNA tests were being conducted to confirm his identity
Ping.
Bush blew it.
Thank you...
NO but I think we got a piece of him when we blew up a building about a month ago....at least I hope we got a piece of him....certainly his scared the hell out of him...
No problem.
They spotted Al-Zarqawi sitting with the Detroit contingent at the Democratic National Convention, but they lost him near an exit that had been cleverly wedged in with Michael Moore.
bttt
We don't need filled vacums.
Back to work soldier, resume human trash litter detail.
I feel it also serves our security needs to not have WMD discovery disclosed. Having unsecured WMD's scattered all over Iraq, a region which has existed on barter for thousands of years, and the admission thereof would be disasterous around the globe. It's easier to say "oops, we goofed", than to ring the weapons trading dinner bell in a region where the trade of RPG's and sarin mortar rounds would take place for the exchange of a car or an auxiliary electrical generator.
Imagine if it were true, the rats would be in deep doo-doo tonight! Lurch and the swimmer would be found in some dark alley guzzling gallons of Boones Farm! I can just see it...bawahahhaha!
this is from yesterday and is related to the other guy they7 caught
Riiiiight. Peace through perpetual war.
That is how Islamic areas of the middle east and Asia have existed for centuries, long before we poked around.
In all seriousness if you want Islam to change, bar it's players from living one life there and another in the west or europe. Ban them all until they police their own. The people in power in Islam enjoy the good life when nobody is watching. Denying them travel, higher education, and bank accounts outside their own region will do a lot to cause change from within.
You should be careful about criticizing this around here...
I don't care if Islam changes or not, as long as we limit its impact on us. Even if you are correct that Islam is "perpetual war," it is complete BS to think that we will be at war until we eradicate a religion and its billion adherents. As soon as you acknowledge that the goal is something short of that, then we need to define the goal. What do you think it is?
I know, I thought about that when I wrote it, but as passionate as some can be around here, they are not beyond reson. They would never equate the construct of education in the world of Islam with the influence some in America may want individuals to have only the right to access, not define it's content.
Once we stop placating to the notion that inclusion is the way to peace and that militant Islamic clerics armed to the teeth, outside their state or government mandate, are going to give up the vast wealth and power they wield, the sooner we can alter the lifestyle of the people of influence in those nations in order to "force" them to police their own and demand an end to such militant craziness by those inside those countries. As it stands now, most the wealth and people of power in those nations tend to their assets and lifestyles outside of their origin. They have no incentive to police their own. As a matter of fact they have a disincentive to right their ship as it provides cover for them and they bank on the self defeating good will of western and european nations to allow them to live dual lives.
