SPEECH REACTION: MSNBC LIBERALS ALL MOCKING EDWARDS TAUNT TO AL QAEDA!
MSNBC

Edwards is getting skewered for his almost grinning taunt to AlQaeda ... Howard Fineman notes if that's the best the Dems have got then the US will decide "we need Dick Cheney". Andrea Mitchell notes that it's impossible for Edwards to say anything and come across seriously because he's so young and Scarborough cracks a joke about how AlQaeda cannot take "the Breck Girl" seriously. Meanwhile on CNN lib gal laments Edwards came across as a slick "game show host" and "Jr." by any comparison.

Fighting terrorism is a matter of effective police work and real action to remove the grievances that nurture it--a very different kettle of fish. You mean like the grievance that we haven't all converted to Islam yet? The Left simply does not have a clue regarding radical Islam.

You certainly didn't think that dem delegates would proudly carry their flags outside the convention center, did you?
The flags are props to be used an discarded, much as their rhetoric was this week.

There is only one goal in this convention, and that is to appeal to the Zell Miller democrats with all this hawkish talk. Of course, they may gain some of the blue dogs, but they will lose a majority of their base.
The donkey party has become a disjointed goat rodeo. And Kerry's record will speak for itself.

It is my understanding that the media insisted on Edwards on the ticket. I guess they knew it would be terminal boredom if Gephardt was chosen.
Kerry, quite the strong, decisive leader, NOT.
They built Edwards up by saying how optimistic he was, how he never did any negative campaigning.....this of course, was total bull.
Now I suspect the media is beginning to understand that appeasing the French and Germans by Kerry, and a weakling veep, are not in anyone's best interest.

Reminded me of Jesse Jackson's Keep Hope Alive.......
Guess they all share the same speechwriters and not an original thought in the entire bunch.

Thanx for mentioning Edward's taunt towards Al Qaeda and then NOT telling us the quote. SHEESH!
To: Steven W.
Edwards tried to play tough and threaten Al Qaeda, "we are going to destroy you" and amost started grinning before the words even left his mouth. And Kerry was crybabying about Bush saying "Bring 'em on"?
To: Steven W.
Game Show Host. Hmmmmmmm - that's one of the most accurate descriptions yet of John "Breck Girl" Edwards.

And we will destroy you. And who does he mean by "we"?
Later in his "speech" he talks about allies.
So, it must be...
In God we trust, except for National defense where we need a higher power, the French.

Andrea Mitchell notes that it's impossible for Edwards to say anything and come across seriously because he's so young...This is what gets me...
Now I know that "40 is the new 30" and all that, but for crying out loud, how much longer are they going to give us that "Edwards is young/youthful/etc." cr@p? He's 51, for goodness' sake!

Pretty ironic. On a number of issues the GOP is running left of the Dems, and now on the WOT the Dems are attempting to run right of the GOP.
It's a mad, mad world...

The democrat convention in Boston is nothing but an exercise in putting a new dress on an old whore. The convention planners had to hide all their extremists from public view. You wont see the hateful gays and lesbians. You wont see the hateful Marxists that hate freedom and individual wealth. You wont see the hateful atheists and Christian haters. You wont see the hateful educationalists that design the perverse curricula indoctrinating our children they hate parents who would raise children with ethics and morals. You wont see the union thugs who shake down corporations and beat up those that just want to work. You wont see the bureaucrats that run the legions of non-performing goobermint employees (military excepted.) You wont see hateful, envious socialists that want to sap the productivity of the capitalists. You wont see the hateful racial flame throwers that blame the evil white man for all their problems.
Except for their voting base, the only way they can convince people to vote for them is to pretend they are normal people. Being democrat is synonymous with being dishonest. You can dress the democrats up, but you cant change whats inside theyre rotten to the core.
