They over medicated her for that speach. At least as much dead air time as talk. But she was right; The Democrats are putrid and Ted Kennedy is a bastard.
I have to agree. Completely unnatural, very scripted, and did anyone notice that her nose was very very red? I didn't hear a lot of warm reaction from the crowd, either...people were quiet, like they were holding their breath...
I don't know that she is on medication--who would ever confirm that?--but I do know that her speech patterns were unnatural, and that she rambled (even if she did write the speech, it was full of non-sequiturs).
As far as the Peace Corps thing goes, it was John Kennedy who started it. I think she was trying to make some kind of confused connection between Kennedy and her husband.
Then she got into Reagan's "Shining City on a Hill" metaphor for America, but seemed to get that part confused...
And that "Poor me, I was a white girl in SA during apartheid...how I must have suffered..." thing--what was THAT about?
