I listened very carefully to Ron Reagan's speech and, though I don't completely understand the medical nuances, I am under the impression that human embryos aren't involved. He made it very clear that what was used were only small groups of cells that would never be capable of becoming a human being. I think that he was attempting to reach a national audience, and that's the reason that he agreed to this venue. I sympathize with your losses. I sympathize with the Reagans, as well, and I agree that they shouldn't be judged in their passionate efforts to find a cure for the disease that claimed their beloved husband and father.

My take on this is that Ron Reagan had the opportunity to address a national forum, and, in this case, one that would be listening closely to him. I did listen and noticed he was very careful to endorse no political candidate or party, but just his own cause. His elderly mother must be exhausted, but I do think we will hear from her again. From what I hear, young Ron is a Green, not a Democrat, which is the reason I think he had no political agenda here, but just trying to bring attention to his family's cause.
