On "The Big Story" with John Gibson, just now, Jesse Jackson was being interviewed by John. When asked his opinion of Heinz-Kerry, he said that she is a "free spirit". She was born in Mozambique, he observed, and is now an American citizen. Jesse Jackson then opined that this makes Teresa an African American.
I s'pose now anything considered an "attack" on Teresa will now be labeled racist.

Some African-born white kid in a high school tried to make this argument, wanting to join an African American social club on campus. The school administration was not amused and a suspension ensued. Where's the ACLU when you need them?

Yes, she has a better claim to Africa than people who are descended from people who taken off the continent hundreds of years ago.

If she were a citizen of Mozambique, became naturalized in the US, that sure does make her an African-American, if anybody wants to hyphenate her. My son-in-law was born and raised in Zimbawe, and as soon as the paper work comes through, he will be an African-American. The fact that his grandparents emigrated from Scotland to Africa does not make him a Scottish-American--he and his parents were born and raised in Africa.
She's more African than Je$$e is, that's for sure.

You mean that most people sold into slavery by their families, friends, and neighboring villages. They weren't kidnapped by "whitey", they were beaten in war, and sold by their fellow "black men". Frankly, if ANYONE should be sued for restitution, isn't it the people still in Africa? I mean, they're the ones who sold black American's into slavery...
Whatever........it doesn't change her from being a low class ignorant woman who thinks she's better than everyone else.
