"Any reason why???" (Why Teresa's eldest son isn't involved in the campaign)

In an interview she gave in 2002 she said the following about him:

She speaks of how her oldest son, John IV, started "hating her" two years ago, when his daughter was born. (He declined to comment.)---Link

It's weird that she would casually mention such a personal matter about her child to a reporter. From what I've read and seen, she doesn't seem to mind embarrassing those close to her.

She saw a psychiatrist who prescribed Prozac, one pill a day. It eased the paralysis, she says, not the sadness. She began devoting much of her time, energy and money to issues that John Heinz held dear in the Senate. In a sense, Teresa says, keeping John Heinz's issues alive was a way to keep the senator alive.
