They left real quick and about 5 min later I got a call stating that the police would be there to confiscate my firearms to ensure public safety. My response was "No Problem should be fun for you, I will not give over any of my firearms to anyone and my dog is now in the house."
The idiot on the phone stated that I was a hazard to the public safety and that they had a duty to disarm me. I informed this idiot that I never left my house and never threatened anyone with a firearm, but when I am awakened at 3am I will answer the door with a gun. He told me that this was unacceptable and that the police WOULD disarm me.
I then informed this idiot that I have already called all 3 news networks in Denver and that I had not broken any laws I would be defending my property and house with all of my firearms to my ability. He then asked what did I mean by that? I informed him that I did have a German Mauser 7.65 and all of the rounds that I did have in the house are armor piercing, had not reloaded for hunting yet, and none of the armor they had would stop the rounds.
For some reason he hung up and called back in about 20 min apologizing for the inconvenience and I would not be bothered again.

Do you mean your brother's attitude has shifted towards a police-state mentality now that he's a police officer or that he sees it first hand and believes you now?

How did his attitude change? Better or worse? As a side note I grew up in Aurora. Left there in 1980.
