If they have a simiilar standard for Michael Moore, he should expect to fired on day 1, also. Don't count on it.

Who's Jonah Goldberg's counterpart on the left, anyway?

In response to questions on whether the paper was surprised by what they got from the conservative author, considering her well known penchant for speaking her mind pointedly and often with sarcasm and wit, Gallagher said, "Yes. We just didn't think it would be that difficult [to finalize]."

Something tells me they will have no such trouble with the notoriously difficult Michael Moore.

Having Goldberg replace her rubs salt in the wound, since along with Rich Lowry, he was responsible for NR giving her the ax in 2001.

I don't know why this is such a persistent myth. Coulter never worked for National Review. Never. (In fact, they rejected her first column ever--a long time ago.)

The girlie-men (TM) at NR simply refused to run her syndicated column in the wake of 9/11 where she suggested (obviously in bitter jest) that we invade and convert them. After all, that is what they want to do to us.

Coulter wasn't fired from NR, because she never worked for them. They stopped carrying her column for a while, but now they do again--and have for some time--at Townhall.

I think we need to stop repeating this misinformation.

I read the comments of their editor showing their objections. It was on Drudge.

From the comments, her writing goes over his head. Most were "I don't get it".

I think they hired a highschool student as the editor.

Her column was very well written.

A great movie quote sums it up for USA Today, "You can't handle the truth!"

Probably Senator Joe Lieberman or Zell Miller.

I wouldn't believe anything a Gannett Press mouthpiece had to say about anything. They are all a bunch of left-wing ideologues.

The Presdential television debates are on the horizon, and we must be diligent in making sure CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, etc., do not give Kerry a bigger part of the t.v. screen, than Bush. I remember something about them doing that in the past...shortchanging the Republican candidate out of equal t.v. screen coverage during a debate. And now add USATODAY to the liar, cheater , communist list!

Yep. Replaced a female conservative with a girlie man.
