What happened: June 5, 04 Kerry, his wife, 4 unknown suits - We were happy to seat them in a semi-private area and gave them the same excellent service as we would give anyone - then got stiffed!

Having been a waitress when I was younger, I am now an excellent tipper. I also remember that these are people who are trying to do their jobs, and if I have a problem, it is best to handle it politely rather than take it out on the wait staff by shortchanging them on the tip.
Not surprising.
Take with a grain of salt... these are anonymous postings. Anyone can make an entry.
It is just a small indication of what they really think of the "little guy" and what they will do to us if elected.

Point well taken; there's no way to determine the authenticity of these posts. Those of us who object to unproven accusations about Bush and conservatives shouldn't emphasize this sort of thing. Even if it's true, it's going nowhere.

I guess I should add that I'm not quite sure I believe that Kerry wouldn't leave a tip on a $260 tab; that's world-class boorish, and I'm not prepared to think he's that bad without further evidence.
In my former career as a sommelier I once served Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, Gov. Engler, to name a few at the same table. All were gracious, 20% paid in advance.
Now, now, Kerry gave the waitress a tip: "Marry rich."

(sarcasm) Didn't you know, Royalty don't have to pay. It's why they never carry cash. That's what the step n fetchits are for.
I'm not really sure if these are accurate. What if someone who normally tips well just got really bad service?
