I emailed my wife who is currently in Oklahoma for the summer to have my son vote today and to vote for Dr. Coburn. My son stayed in Oklahoma when we moved to Florida and attends OSU.

I suppose folks will have to vote first, but results will show up eventually.

Of course, that's no reason for EVERY conservative in OK to go out and vote for Dr. Coburn. We can't leave anything to chance, since if Dr. Coburn doesn't get 50%+1 he'll have to waste his time with a run-off against Humphries instead of targeting Brad Carson right away.

How is Coburn going to deal with the inevitable "extremist" charge by the Dem candidate there?
With the presidential polling in Oklahoma running +20 for Bush, it would seem to take quite a deliberate ticket switch for the Dem candidate to win no matter no moderate he makes himself out to be.
Am I reading that right or are there other issues afoot?

Humphries = Humphreys

Sorry, Johnny, I know that's a pet peeve of yours. But you'd be happy to know that I never misspell Yastrzemski.

Take one away from the Dems that they hoped to steal. Too bad we don't have similarly good candidates in OR, NV, MT, CA, and IL.

From what I can gather, this democrat is a smooth talker, says the right things but votes don't reflect it. He will be quite a challenge. Dr. Coburn is our best chance of defeating him in November.

Do you think this popular Clintoid Democrat governor in OK can swing votes to Carson for senator? If Coburn wins, it will be about the first time this year that graas-roots conservatives have taken charge of the GOP nominating process much anywhere in the country.

The only extremist thing about Coburn is that he's EXTREMELY POPULAR!

Coburn's held Brad Carson's seat, and voluntarily left it so that he could continue to practice medicine.

Everybody loves Coburn down here!

Excellent news. We need a few more conservative senators in the Republican party to render McCain and the New England RINOs irrelevant.
