Since Mexico has a more stringent 'immigration' policy for those trying to get into Mexico, it makes one wonder whether Vincente may be on the take both for his own Mexicans streaming into the US to send money back to Mexico (and to him for his cut) and for getting bribes from the 'nom-Mexicans' desiring to use Mexico as the cross-over to the US.
Vincente has proved himself to not be one of our better foreign friends. He didn't help in the WoT (conflict of interest?) or Iraq or border control, etc.

It's just unconscienable that we aren't shooting these bastards on sight. I'm perfectly serious, by the way.

The illegals coming over the border get more rights than the Americans on the US side of the border.
When push comes to shove, officials seek to protect and defend the illegals.
It won't stop until a valid third political party gains enough clout and power (membership) to challenge the two current national parties. The one big chance was with Perot's Reform Party, until Buchanan weedled his way in to it and destroyed it.

Consider this: Antipersonall mines are cheap, never sleep, and do not take bribes.

Odd how none of this was addressed in the PATRIOT act.

Why are our defenses ignored? There has to be a reason. Is the threat of terrorism a political tool to be uased for political purposes? Our government has to know this is going on.

All Mexican officials are. Fox has been falling all over himself to keep the borders not only open but waaay open. Mexicans have come across for centuries but at no time has the Mexican government been so adamant about open borders which poses the question, why now??? Follow the money, follow the money.

I agree with the third party part, however Perot was a nutcase pure and simple. Even if Buchanan didn't enter the mix Perot would have self-distructed. What bothers me most about all this(ME types crossing our border) is that the current administration really doesn't seem to care about our borders as long as "Cheap Labor" is available.
This is Bush's weak point. If I were in his shoes I would be doing eveything I could to patrol the borders, because when the next event happens and if it's found to be caused by ME types crossing our borders illegally, Bush & Co. are history. My hope is that if this happens, some true American will rise up(even if he's a write in), and win in a landslide.

Make that He or She, because now that I think about it there are a few women who I would vote over Bush or Kerry anyday.
To: mylife
does anyone think about how unimportant some of this crap that keeps the front pages full will be after a few 1000 terrorist turn themselves loose here in the US?
there should be a finaly judgement carried out when caught crossing illegally, that would discourage future attempts

Not to be a tin-foiler, but on this thread, http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1179284/posts, Hillary is calling for more secure borders.
Considering the Clintons had no problem compromising our national security to get money from the Chinese, is it too much of a stretch to suspect they may be in collusion with terrorists in order to swing the election?
I know that the general consensus is that a terrorist attack would benefit W, but (thinking about the article last week in the women's WSJ about the ME types doing dry-runs of bomb assembly in airliners) what if the terrorists were able to again use our airplanes against us, and on an even larger scale.
The left would go into overdrive chastising the administration for essentially being impotent over the last three years.
