DUKAKIS WATCH – DAY 1
Have You Seen This Man?
________________________________________

JOHN KERRY: MICHAEL DUKAKIS’ LT. GOVERNOR
(1983-1984)

Daschle Suggests Kerry Campaign Slogan: “Vote For The Tall Dukakis.” “At the recent Gridiron Dinner, Senate Majority Leader Thomas A. Daschle (D-S.D.) … said of his Senate colleague from Massachusetts, according to our source, ‘…I wonder about his new campaign slogan: “Vote for the tall Dukakis.”’” (Al Kamen, “The Once And Future Mrs. Reich,” The Washington Post, 3/18/02)

Dukakis Was Seen As More Moderate Than Kerry. “After a failed congressional bid, law school, and a stint as an assistant district attorney, [Kerry] was elected in 1982 as lieutenant governor to Michael Dukakis, who was seen as the more moderate of the pair.” (Ryan Lizza, “Double Jeopardy,” The New Republic, 8/7/00)

Isn't this the same party that insists that they only lost the 2002 elections because they "didn't get their message out"?

If they lose the 2004 elections, it will be because they "didn't hide their message enough".

As Woody Allen said, "I don't wanna go - what if it's a homosexual experience?
