Offending folks here and there is almost impossible to avoid on a discussion Forum such as this, but BobJ's correct about some folks' willingness to go fer the jugular of someone with a different opinion, instead of just agreeing to disagree on a particular issue and parting as FRiends. Fer instance, a one-time FReeper FRiend--and well-respected poster--blasted me the other day as a "Moby/Troll" becuz I haven't bowed properly in front of the BushGod...it was over the top and wouldda really bothered a less thick-skinned FReeper. I'm not sure how his outburst furthered his cause, though.

Too many of the jugular goers are "highly respected" freepers who run threads. Anyone who dares to disagree is attacked en masse. I don't attend the ongoing threads for that reason.
Not to mention the "ZOT Monkeys".
