I agree with you. Unless she already suspected her husband wasn't really enrolled, why would she not just assume incompetence on the part of the college personnel?

My guess is the pregnancy is the key-but exactly how, I'm not sure.

Seems reasonable to me. Faced with an unwanted pregnancy, millions of women kill their fetuses; faced with their wife/girlfriend's unwanted (by the man) pregnancy, some men kill the wife/girlfriend. A panic reaction of self-centered fear.

3) She has no job and it's hard to get a job in a new area, especially when pregnant

5)She confronts her husband about all these things

6)The argue

7)It get's out of hand

8)He kills her.
