As if half the sentient world hasn't been "discussing the geopolitical aspects of Caspian Oil for many years." Perhaps you have been in a tiny room off the corridor leading to the party. That would certainly be the case if you were unaware of the Grau article.
It always amuses me so when bloggers in their infinite pomposity apend "I said this in 19nn.." of some commonplace long since embraced by the known world.
