Gay Day at Six Flags Over Texas September 18th , 2004
September 18 is the 9th Annual Gay Day at Six Flags Over Texas. This event has taken place for the last 8 years in a row and this is the 9th year. This event is sponsored by a homosexual newspaper called The Dallas Voice and advertised as "Gay Day at Six Flags," in established homosexual publications like Texas Triangle, QTexas and many highly trafficked websites. Due directly to this form of advertising, thousands of homosexuals attend this event from all over Texas. "Gay Day at Six Flags" takes place one day prior to the Gay Pride Parade in Oak Lawn which itself brings in tens of thousands of people. Many of the people in town for the Gay Pride Parade also attend "Gay Day at Six Flags."
When families attend Six Flags Over Texas on Saturday, September 18th, they will not be informed about "Gay Day at Six Flags," nor the thousands of homosexuals in attendance. It will be a total shock when they realize they are waiting in line for one hour at a time with flamboyant homosexuals embracing one another and kissing.
If you call Six Flags Over Texas and ask them if they are having Gay Day they will tell you "No, Six Flags does not sponsor a Gay Day," knowing that they allow the homosexual community to advertise the event as "Gay Day at Six Flags." They still will not tell you. Therefore, Six Flags Over Texas is willingly allowing families and children to be exposed to homosexual activities without giving them any warning.
Families and children have the right and deserve to know about "Gay Day at Six Flags" so that they can make an informed decision as to rather they want to attend Six Flags Over Texas on that day. Six Flags Over Texas has a responsibility to inform families and children about "Gay Day at Six Flags." It is a family park and families sustain Six Flags business throughout the year.

It would be amusing to see the reaction to hearings to investigate a law requiring disclosure by such "open to the public" amusement parks.
Imagine Disney reps trying to explain why they do not want to tell the public that the "unofficial" event they give discounts, private receptions, permit to use the mickey ears logo, and block hotel room reservations is a private event they have no control over.
If you ask disney when the FL Bar meets there for anual anual meeting, they are overflowing with assistance to get you to the right place and time. That is not a Disney event, but they sure want you to know about it if you are a lawyer (or just ask).

Disney gives discounts and blocks off groups of rooms. It is no different than any convention on the disney property. Disney has staff dedicated to facilitating operations for such tour operators.
It is no sweat for disney to post a page saying these operators/groups are being welcomed to the disney parks on these days. No different than a hotel lobby saying which events are in which hall. Not unlike any other convention.
When the FL Bar has a meeting there, I ask the disney reservations and they direct to the proper hotel and dates on the property. It is not a disney event, it is a "group" that is just showing up, but they sure want me to know about it. You don't even have to be a lawyer to ask about it, they will even tell your secretary if she asks.
Disney has no qualms about telling the public they have a bunk of lawyers wandering around but for some reason they have a big problem letting people know a bunch of homosexuals are partying on the property in the same areas as everyone's children.

"Why don't you point them out to your children and explain how those two people kissing each other are going to go to Hell cause 'God Hates Fags?'"Shall we explain it before or after stepping past a couple of men smoking each other off?

Will the gay day be only in Dallas or will it be at Astroworld in Houston too?

What about business establishments that have a sign saying, "We reserve the right to refuse service to ..."? Is that legal or illegal? Or does it just depend on the business?

Bingo. All they have to do is have their corporate lawyers warn those doing and printing the advertising and that will bring an end to it. Obviously, the park's management wants to have their cake and eat it too - get the gate receipts from the faggots and claim innocence to their bread and butter constituence (families).

Egads! Thankfully, we decided against Six Flags and opted for Fiesta Texas the other day. Why don't they make their own park where they can celebrate their lifestyle every day?
To: Blzbba
Most popular attraction that day? The Log Ride.
That, or maybe the "Power Tower".

If the KKK advertises "Racist Day at Six Flags", Six Flags would sue them for using their name. Wake up.Hear, hear!

If Six Flags lets other groups use their name, then the courts would toss out any attempt to prevent gays from using their name.If Six F.ags stockholders really wanted to stop this they'd let the courts prove there wasn't an intentional full park electrical blackout which shut down the entire park on 9/18.
To: longtermmemmory
Why else would they offer normal guests a free change of shirt if they happen to be wearing a red shirt?Huh? Please explain. What's wrong with wearing a red shirt? Are gays against red shirts so the rest of the world shouldn't wear one for fear of offending them?
To: Constitutionalist Conservative
On that day the park should be renamed "Sick Fags over Texas"

Should Six Flags inform non-religious types when a church group holds an informal, non-sponsored gathering?Sexual deviance is hardly comparable to religious and moral groups. So my answer is 'no'.

not just require all groups to provide their names to a "registry"? Because not all groups are on the same moral plateau.
