Hey, wait a minute! Why is there such tight security? I thought the Dems said terrorism is over-hyped!

Hey, wait a minute! Why is there such tight security? My thoughts exactly, but for different reasons.
1) Conservative demonstrators are the most polite you'll find - nothing like the leftist wackos who have warned of the tricks they'll pull at the Republican convention.
2) The terrorists want the Democrats to win, cause that will make their life easier.
So what's the threat against the DNC convention?

I saw that police presence(including the military style march they all practiced so well) on Fox News Sunday. To me, they seem to have ripped off two groups for that look. The fist is George Lucas's Starwars wardrobe department and the other is Hitler's parade director.
It's scary. Once you give police a toy, they will not put it back in the box. Boston and Mass had better look out post convention. Nobody gets all that cool stuff to just sit in the closet. Expect those guys in full attire at the seatbelt roadblocks during Labor Day Weekend.

I thought it was a civil union march with gay male couples, on their way to city hall for marriage licenses in standard formation(side by side).

There is no threat. In reality the ones who pose the greatest threat to the U.S. will have VIP passes and delivering keynote speeches.
