It is so funny you said that about going away and something happening. I just heard on local radio this morning that Dick Cheney is coming to Tucson this Saturday! Time and location to be announced. We are going up north Friday night for the weekend so won't be in town for this.
As much as we're all looking forward to our little getaway, I am very disappointed that I won't be able to go see the VP.
Bush, Ford Libraries Get New Directors
Archivist of the United States John W. Carlin has selected new directors for the Gerald R. Ford Library in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station, Texas. The announcements were made November 30 and December 1 respectively.
Uh, Carlin gets to pick the directors for other presidential libraries?! Am I aline in thinking, in light of recent events, this is not a good idea....
for later
