Kerry Throws Yankees-Red Sox First Pitch

By NEDRA PICKLER, Associated Press Writer

BOSTON - John Kerry (news - web sites) made a surprise appearance at the Yankees-Red Sox baseball game Sunday night to throw out the opening pitch, making an early arrival in the city where Democratic delegates were gathering to nominate him for president.

Bostonians showed their resentment for the Democratic National Convention that has locked down their city by greeting their hometown senator with a mixed chorus of boos and cheers. Kerry kept smiling as he threw out a pitch that sank and hit the dirt before the catcher — a soldier home from Iraq (news - web sites) — could catch it.

Some Bostonians cheer to show their resentment? What a bunch of weirdos.

Oh, is that why they booed. And I thought they just didn't like him. (/sarcasm)

AP Bias Correction Filtered Applied:

Bostonians showed their resentment for the Liberal Junior Senator that has locked down their wallets by greeting their hometown senator with a resounding chorus of boos and cheers. Kerry kept smiling as he threw out a pitch that sank and hit the dirt before the catcher — a soldier home from Iraq (news - web sites) — lunged at it in vain as it went to the backstop.

There, that's better.

I'm watching ESPN's HD broadcast, and when they showed closeups of Kerry, you could see that he had that fake tan cream applied, LIBERALLY, of course.

And which was so far off line, (IE wild) that the soldier couldn't even get to it to block or catch it on the roll.
