Guess I'm just a bad boy.

Yes. You are. All true Mac addicts are early adopters who go to the store at midnight and buy the next release on the day it comes out. Try to do better with Tiger, okay?

Regards

I will keep everyone in the loop.

Here's what I do know -- the approved demo for Macs has nothing to do with Micheal Moore. The only real "person" that I can recall the Mac demo promoting would be the Incredible Hulk, and even then I think it's more for purposes of showing off the awesome graphics power of a G5, not a political endorsement. Although the Hulk would probably lean to the right, but that's a differant discussion altogether.

The purpose of the demo isn't intended for any kind of political message. To use it as such is simply inappropriate. Why risk offending someone who is coming in and looking at a five thousand dollar Mac because you have political leanings in ANY direction?

I understand the power of something like an online boycott, speaking as a former purchaser of Heinz products (and to be honest, I do miss their ketchup). And it would be one thing if there was indeed a company policy that says we are trying to get a certain kind of demographic customer base. But there isn't, just a bunch of instances where perhaps the individuals in charge of certain departments decide to abitrate matters for themselves and alientate the consmers in the process.

I would recommend that if you do wish to take some form of constructive action against it, find out the name of the General Manager at the store in question and begin by explaining your feelings as a consumer to him. The General Manager of the store or stores in question would be able to handle the situation and if it's still unresolved you can move it up from there. But I would let the GMs get a chance to take care of it first.

On my end, I'll ask my boss to contact his division boss to bring it to thier attention. Hopefully it's just a situation where the right people, once alerted, can make it an enjoyable experiance again, which we do try to make it.

I've spent the evening with "cocktail" trying to undo some of the years of harm that I have done to my Imac.
