I think, this year, BP will have them vying for the NFC championship game.

I already bought my car flag.

It's dangerous flying Cowboy colors in South Florida, but what the hell!

A Cowboy in the White House, and a whole bunch of them in the NFL Championship game...can life get any better?

Offseason has been a disaster for the Dolphins. As a long-suffering Pats fan (up until the Tom Brady era), I can feel their pain! This kind of crazy stuff used to happen to the Pats all the time. Coaches were getting electrocuted, fans were getting electrocuted (no joke) and when they did make it to post-season play, their head coaches were usually busy looking for jobs elsewhere (Fairbanks, Parcells).

I am a FSU fan and Falcons. Nevertheless, I have to admit Deon is a bit obnoxious. Ricky Williams will probably first get a job as a analyst for ESPN.

I think it may be all about Ricky boy wanting more money, or a new contract. The man is only twenty-seven, and is a damn good NFL back.

Smoking weed is probably pretty mild in pro sports. Besides, what else could he do to make that kind of money? He’ll be back.

Absolutely not. The Dolphins have the rights to him. Therefore, if he were to come back, he would have to play for the fins.

As a fins fan, I will now be truly rooting for the fish to really stink it up this season so that we can get a very high draft pick. And no doubt, after this Ricky thing, I predict my fins will now go 5-11. Hopefully much worse. We definitely need a very high pick. Btw, the dolphins have only had 2 loosing seasons since they started in 1966. So if my wish comes true, this would be their 3rd loosing season ever. Damn, I am just so pissed over all of this. How can he do this to us only a few days before the start of the season???

I watched Ricky run last year and I thought he was the most over-rated back in football.

There is a good reason why he said he was happiest when he was playing football in college....the people he faced then versus those in the NFL..quite a contrast.

I will give Williams credit - he bitched and moaned that the NFL (or rather the teams/owners) was corrupt, that they used people, etc. He could have done what many others who complain do - kept on being corrupted/used, and kept on collecting the big checks. Instead he put his money where his mouth is and walked away.

He's from California, they tend to produce a lot of "free spirit" types.

I'm not trying to make an excuse for the guy but this is whats going on in the brain of Ricky Williams. Ricky's problem is a brain chemistry imbalance. Some would call it a mental illness, however his is not severe and is very manageable. Ricky is very susceptible to depression. The pot makes its worst affecting his brain chemistry. Its a no brainer that excessive pot smoking can affect your drive, determination and ambition. Coupled with his high propensity for depression, the combination equals irrational decision making. Now, if Ricky was taking any performance enhancing drug or supplement of high potency (legal or illegal)this to can spell disaster. This due to the fact that enhancers also affect the brain chemistry. Enhancers can either replace a naturally produced brain chemical (slowing down or shutting off the production of the natural producing chemical) or over-produce a certain chemical in the brain creating the imbalance. The extreme highs that are produced by the enhancers when taken regularly turn the brain chemistry Topsy turvy when you stop taking them.( or introduce a drug with opposite effect.) This results is odd behavior and weirdness of the individual, strange thoughts, mood swings etc . Most folks like Ricky just are not aware of whats happening to them. They think they are just different. Some are in denial. The situation is reversible. A extended 6 week detox period, natural clean diet of healthy foods, plenty of veggies, no sugars, drink water only,no supplements just vitamins. It also helps to have a spiritual focus of some kind. Ricky just needs to clear his system and get his brain chemistry back to its normal balances. I grantee Ricky will be back to pro football once he gets his mental clearness. He will likely have a press conference announcing his return and how stupid of him it was to leave before his time. He'll also acknowledge how drug use clouded his decision making. In addition he'll likely become a poster boy for a anti drug/pot campaign. Remember, you herd it here first!!!
