Neither Al-Ahram nor AAI are exactly what you'd call credible sources of information. I wouldn't give it the time of day.

What is needed is a more in-depth study of the Arab-American vote breakdown. First, how do the candidates poll among Arab-American Christians and Arab-American Muslims? Also, poll among Arab-Americans whose families have been here for generations, and from Arab-Americans who are recent immigrantsl, and see if there's a significant difference.

I don't know for sure, but I'm inclined to think that Arab-American Muslims who are recent migrants are among Kerry's strongest supporters. But this report is based on incomplete information.

And what evidence is there that this polling and its analysis by Al-Ahram - an Egyptian newspaper that is not in the habit of writing favorably about the West and President Bush - are valid and significant? A little healthy skepticism please. Don't believe everything you read in newspapers, especially those in the Mideast. It's unhealthy for personal safety to say good things about Bush there. And if Kerry were actually President, Kerry would be the "Jew-President" because of his genealogical connections.
