On FNS, Bill Richardson was asked "How is Kerry's WOT policies different from President Bush's?"
  1. We would get international support
  2. Adequately fund Homeland Security
  3. Kerry was in Vietnam
I'm not making this up!

A tough question to answer when all Kerry has is a "different plan". Of course nobody has read or heard what is in the plan, but we know Kerry has one. He tells us that everyday.

Wallace to Richardson: "Where is the bounce? This race is still a dead heat!"

Richardson: "We have to introduce Senator Kerry to the American people! He served in Vietnam!"

Yeah, a lotta enthusiasm there for Kerry among the top Dems...

Richardson cut taxes in New Mexico showing his understanding of how things work. He's one of the few Democrats who has a chance of saving his party, in my humble opinion, but he will never appeal to their special interest groups.

Still, notice the talking points Richardson is using. Same old party line.

Amazing. Thanks for the information. Once again, FNS is the only one to watch.

You can get those fax machines will be busy making sure the up-to-the-minute talkingpoints-memos get distributed.

Bill Richardson? LMAO

All I want to know is how in the world could the good people of NM have elected the "Los Alamos Loser" governor? The clown has to be the most incompetent fool in the entire state!

Susan Estrich is on Fox News Channel. She is playing up the optimistic line as well. Also she says that the Republicans are raising the bar on the bounce. Julia sort of agrees with her. (I really dislike the weekend crew on Fox.)

oh sure, Kerry wants to make sure that when terrorists fly a plane into a skyscraper, the firemen who are sent in have good radios. that's the war on terror from Kerry's perspective.

Well, let's look at what we have right now and the next month or two:

The candidates are tied. With all the crap the media has been throwing at Bush, he's still tied. This is good. Can they make up anything new, or is it simply not sticking. Then again, this is bad. Bush should have a big lead over Kerry at this point and yet he's tied.

The Dems convention is now. This has to be their big week. If they can't pull it off, then it's over for them.

The Republican convention is a month away. Will there be a bounce? Since it's closer to the election, this should be helpful, as more people will be turning their thoughts to it.

Unfortunately, this election still hinges on events yet to come. Among these are:

The War in Iraq. More combat deaths will hurt us. More kidnappings, assasinations and terror bombings will help the media campaign to show us that Iraq is a disaster. However, if these events slack off, and the new government gets better and better at stopping them, then it is a big plus. Suffice to say, real Americans WANT the war to be successful.

The economy. Looks like a small slowdown in the exuberant growth is in the cards. It all comes down to how this is spun, and you can bet the farm that MSM will be filled with woes about it. Still, the slowdown may only be a burp. Hoepfully, jobs will still continue to grow. They are always behind the economic wave, so jobs could still grow for the next few months. IMO, they will.

Terrorism. Will there be an attack here before Nov 2nd? If so, how it is carried out can have a big effect. The recent stories of casing airflights worries me, because if we're allowing these guys to do as they did, it shows that Homeland Security isn't doing its job. Yikes! The Administration really needs to be focused, disregard political correctness, and get on the ball. Then again, if we stop an attack, how can we even know it worked? The absense of an attack could be spun by MSM as just being lucky. Frankly, I don't care who gets political points on this one, as long as any attack is prevented. My country is my first concern.

Bottom line, the next three months will sure be fun! Don't count on MSM helping us, though. We have a lot of work to do.

Karen White, EMILY's List on C-Span, discussing their latest poll, she's mostly discussing "the purple states", swing states.

She said they over-sampled single women. That group's priority is healthcare.

She said Nader's effect is negligible.
She said sampled women couldn't come up with one thing they were happy about.

She said "swing voters" mirror the electorate, both sides will have to work hard to win them over.

A caller is on, disgusting what she's saying about Bush, and Steve isn't cutting her off. "He can't read, he can't think, what is he doing in this office", ohmigawd, you wouldn't believe the bile!! . Unbelievably, Karen White says of what's Bush doing in this office, , "it's a good question"! She continues the insults with, "He's been unable to focus on the economy", of importance to women voters.

I'm aghast!

Lama-bama-ding-dong talking on NBC. I'm going jogging.

The stupid Republican organization is going to let this lefist clown get elected through their incompetence; then he'll be entrenched in a Senatorial seat helping to block judicial nominees, etc.

...........and the geniuses at the RNC want a donation from me.

Well, I stand corrected. All these months I've been accusing Kerry of using the 'I have a plan' without any specifics. Wow. Richardson convinced me. Where do I mark my ballot? Kerry does have a plan after all.

[I couldn't even type my response without snickering. Richardson's list is about the most in-depth one of any Kerry plan that I've seen. Kerry is long on rambling gobbledygook and short on substance.]

Democrats believe they still need to "introduce" John Kerry to the country. What they fail to realize is that Kerry has already been introduced, and the country does not like or respect what they have met.

A Kerry presidency would only mean the return of the Sandy Berger's and Hillary Clinton's of the world back into the White House.

OK the interview with Chris Heinz was just about the most useless 10 minutes of FNS I've seen in a long time. I think all we've learned is that Kerry is still working on his speech, and Chris Heinz won't be moving to the White House if his stepfather wins the presidency.

4 million kids have dropped out of high school.

1.8 million jobs have been lost.

Women are strong for Kerry because of these issues.

So says Emily's List Karen White.

Steve says, and White doesn't disagree, that 10% of voters are undecided.
