Anti-terror ads may be illegal

Norwegian television stations TV 2 and TVNorge are ready to show anti-terrorism advertisements but the Mass Media Authority believes that this could be in violation of laws forbidding political advertising.

The European Security Advocacy Group (ESAG) has invested large sums to place newspaper ads in Norway and other countries. Aftenposten, among others, has run advertisements discussing more effective measures in the war on terrorism.
