10,000 - 20,000

And if their foreign money wires have been cut off, their bank accounts inspected, their networks disrupted, thousands of their business partners killed including many of their top leaders, etc., etc... then they are out looking for jobs and don't have time for much else.

Can you say diamonds? Can you say drugs? (Why do you think they need JOBS??)

Do you know that the "budget" for Al Q terrorist activity within Iraq alone is $1 Billion?

Perhaps I'm just vain, but I would think the "budget" for terrorist activity within the prime target, ConUs, would be more than $1 Billion.

$1 Billion divided by (let's be generous) 20,000 potential terrorists is $50,000 per.

Money isn't their problem. Volunteers isn't their problem. Access isn't their problem. Weaponry isn't their problem. Time isn't their problem. Communication isn't their problem. They have virtually NO real problems, only temporary setbacks or small obstacles.

At least you hope so.

It's not like it would take a lot in the way of finance and spare time to go buy a few pounds of black powder from gun stores (in small purchase amounts over a period of weeks), along with some nails and such, put together some bombs in the evenings, then upon a pre-arranged signal (like a widely distributed piece of spam with a very specific subject line), go plant bombs in malls and polling places on election day.

With enough people, they don't HAVE to go with sophisticated plans
