Hmmmm. It's soooo difficult to imagine who sent them out there!
As he was uninformed on the matter, Raoul and I gave him a lengthy tutorial about the leaders of the "anti-war" movement.
LOL I stand in awe of your ability to recall all this data and present it politely but forcefully.
"He said I'd learn where it was being held after I registered. I asked if they were keeping the location secret from the public. He snapped, "Why are you getting hostile with me?!" I told him I was just asking."
Ewwwww he acts like a cult follower. Cults always act that way, all zombie like and always twist and turn situations into over blown nonsense just to make you look like the kook.
"He said, "You don't want the public to get your seat, do you." I said I understood and thanked him for his time."
Sounds like he was hot n heavy just to take down names so they could track you down later, harrass you at your place of employment and home. These are nasty hateful thugs.
Over Here PING!
"He, Kerrey walked past us and got into a chauffer driven sedan."
Hmmm I thought he said he wasn't on the pulic limo service payroll anymore? Those retirement perks for senators are sweet aren't they? (rolls eyes)
Thanks for the ping, kristinn. Great report! We enjoyed seeing our FReeper FRiends on the tube down here. You guys were great!
You both made my day with that! You are the best!
Thanks!
Thanks! The Wonkette coverage was great! She even ID'd you as FReepers.
Were you upset by Cheney cursing?
...Thanks for the ping, kris, expletive noted...
Fabulous job guys!
I saw the video on MSNBC! I was so proud of both of you for maintaining your composure, and not resorting to the physical attacks that the dems are so well known for!
That says alot about our Party!! You represent us well!!!!
You guys are both treasures.
>> Raoul told Ceci Connolly of The Washington Post that he didn't want to talk to her.
I hated seeing her sour, arrogant visage on Brit Hume's panel from time-to-time. I haven't seen her there lately. That is A Good Thing. Kudos to the good Doctor for his good judgement on that.
That wasn't in public with reporters with cameras standing around. It was mano-a-mano, and given the background, very deserved.
When I read the Trentonian article I could see the media spin in action. I decided to see if a liberal co-worker and conservative co-worker would notice what I perceived.
I emailed the video and the Trentonian article link seperately, video first, to both of them.
The liberal said there was no difference between the video and the article.
The conservative said the article totally discounted what he saw in video! He heard no 'goading' and noted the liberal media spin of the entire article!
What I am talking about was the headline of the Trentonian article,
"Protesters goad Kerrey into cussing jag".
I noted there was no mention of Kerrey's party in the headline. My conservative friend said that if the commissioner was a Republican and protestors were anti-war, the headline would have read,
"Republican commissioner abuses protesters".
I have one question for the good Doctor: Isn't your sign a quote from Kerrey? I thought I read somewhere that he had said that, along with "Clinton is the most skilled liar I have ever seen in my life". Am I wrong about these?
Thanks for the follow-up report.
What made this news worthy was not Kerrey's profanity (though it helped) but his coming completely unhinged over two harmless fluffballs holding signs.
Kerrey said about Clinton, "He's an unusually good liar."
Press secretaries in D.C. can get very short tempered. Everyone allows for it so it goes on.
You are a treasure as well, Kristinn. I showed the video clip to folks at my office here in LA and everyone was impressed. As always, great work by both of you.
You guys were great. My mouth dropped open when I recognized you both and heard "bleeeeeeps" coming from the tv and realized they emanated from Bob Kerrey!
I only saw it once and not from the very beginning, but I can report that Bob Kur for MSNBC who was doing the presentation of the clip then chuckled about it in a good natured way.
"But most importantly, it was featured on Wonkette's blog!"
My compliments on your great sense of humor!
