A spokesman for the Pakistan embassy here denied that Osama had ever been treated "in any military hospital anywhere in Pakistan".

Look how he parses it.."in any military hospital .....how about a regular hospital.

The pre-9/11 Pakistan was an active supporter of terrorism. The Taliban was their creation, and Pakistan knew that the Taliban harbored al-Qaida.

While it's less clear that Pakistan actively sponsored al-Qaida, it certainly wouldn't surprise me if they tolerated it and gave medical attention to Osama at a non-military hospital during that period.

Osama has enough money to buy and equip his own field hospital anywhere he wants. I can't imagine he's dumb enough to seek treatment at a legitimate hospital in Pakistan today. A $50 million bounty on your head would make anyone nervous.

And technically, Pakistani Kashmir is not a "part" of Pakistan. Or as you say, a private clinic, connected to AQKhan or someone.
