Lanny Davis admitted years ago he did just this sort of trick time and again.

The same complicit media quoting the DNC about "timing" knows it was the demos who dropped the dime on the whole thing.

I agree to a certain extent. We fell for this a few times during the Clinton mess. No doubt the Dem Dirty Trick Playbook includes a few red herrings for us to go chasing our tails over - in public view.

The speculation is that Lanny Davis leaked it now speciffically to be overshadowed by the convention coverage.
