IF: A minor opposition politician makes a stump speech in Sweden, calling the current political oligarchy a corrupt, heathen, anti-moral and fascist regime worthy of open contempt and derision, scathing critique and formal protest. Will the politicians declare themselves a offended class/group of society, such as minorities or Jews, and declare the minor opposition politician a bigot worthy of a jail sentence for hate speech? On the slippery slope, it's not even a babystep away, and it's inevitably going to occur in one of the "liberal" Western countries in the EU, and set precedence over the entire EU.
IF: A Christian group made similar complaints against an Imam, would there be any action? Dhimmitude for the population, built up many times similarly during Muhammed's and original Caliphs' treaties with city-states on their borders. The Imam's followers will be above reproach as they acquire power and influence through any means necessary, until such time as open rebellion by the remaining few, or an outside force returns sovereignty to the native Swedes.
I don't consider myself religious, this news disgusts my very core beliefs, and scares me thoroughly. My Slovak side of the family escaped persecution in Slovakia, came to America and returned to fight and die in Eurpe during WWII. The tyranny of economic and religious persecution and fascist governments has returned, more powerful and guile than before.
I don't believe the EU, with a start date of the Euro currency circulation, will survive any longer than the 3rd Reich reign. The decline and fall has already started, the aftermath will leave the continent devastated once again.
In Belgium, there is a party called Vlaams Blok that basically did what you are describing. Of course, they're also calling for closing the borders and deporting the swarms of Mohammedans coming in. A leftist EU judge recently declared them to be an illegal party, though not in time for the EU Parliament vote last month.
I am afraid you are right. They don't seem able to shake of a complacency towards tyranny in Europe and the North American continent has become deeply infected as well. We (the U.S.) may be too sick ourselves to come to Europes rescue the next time they're on their death bed.
