What a waste of time on Bennet's part. These people don't give a rat's behind about what's right for this country; when it conflicts with their personal interest, they'll sell out the country without a second thought. For example, look at the notes Berger wrote on the Bin Laden documents -- that if we tried to arrest or kill him and they retaliated that the Clinton administration would get blamed.
Ping to a pithy piece by
Dr. William Bennett, one
of our wise thinkers,
speakers and writers!!!

This may be another thread altogether, but my curiosity was piqued by his mention of Jeane Kirkpatrick.
When I was yet a youngster, Jeane K. delivered a blunt speech to the UN, defending our sovereign decision not to underwrite them as they were "threatening" to re-locate or kick us out, oh please don't throw me in the briar patch. It was a proud day to be an American.
I went about the Web seeking some biographical information on her. At the Women in American History site of the Encyclopedia Britannica, I found this characterization of her amongst a fairly dry C.V.:
Kirkpatrick was known for her anticommunist stance and for her tolerance of authoritarian regimes. She was accused of accepting bribes, falsifying tapes that implicated Soviet forces in the shooting down of a Korean passenger jet, and advocating the dismantling of India, all of which she vehemently denied.
Does anybody know what the heck the Britannica editors are talking about with the bribes? I understand how they could twist the context of her life and times to conclude that tolerated "authoritarian regimes", but, ACCEPTING BRIBES?? FROM WHOM?? Falsifying WHAT tapes--the Soviets DID shoot down a Korean airliner!!
Does anybody know what the heck the Britannica editors are smearing Mrs. K for?
If the U.S. goes the way of Europe all will be lost.
The U.S. is the best thing Europe has ever created and now they dishonor their offspring.
The Demoncrat Kerry wants to join them, Lord help us.
I would be deeply saddened, seriesly.
You are correct. It is the DemoCRAT party, not the DemocraTIC party.
Rush and Sean have for some time, tried not to pronounce it as "Democratic" but as Democrat, and I have done this for a long time.
Because the Republican party sounds like an adjective, TV spokerpersons and others, tend to take the Democrat party, and make an adjective of it as well, saying "DemocraTIC party".
Let's ALL say it correctly - the Democrat party.
Thank you. End of message.
Excellent post. Thank you.
And Megadittos!
Moral: It's perfectly O.K. for a Democrat to lie. That's what they have to do to get elected. Lying is merely a "tactic", not a sin.

One of the basic building blocks of the Democrat party.
If a democrat was in the White House, imagine the hue and cry from the media if the head of the Republican party and the R candidate for president included in every speech "Our opponents stole the election. They disenfranchised 1 million black voters."
These are the daily words of Clinton, McAuliffe, Kerry, etc. and not a word of critisism, much less condemnation is heard from the establishment media.
All of whom know better, do they not? Which makes them not only liars, but irresponsible, mendacious liars.
