I believe that was Jessica Lange who read a prepared text before Congress on the evils of alar.
Nope Streep was the big time anti-apple Annie back then. She even made tv commercial spots. Lange may have jumped on that band wagon, she does anytime she thinks it'll get her sagging career any exposure.
