More importantly, sworn testimony on behalf of the witness. Last I heard in a court of law, sworn testimony was still considered evidence.

Sworn testimony by who? The victim? Kobe will equally swear that it was consensual. It returns to he said-she said. It's still reasonable doubt, unless you've got a very strict definition of reasonable.

He'll have to find a way to be convicing to saying that when at first he lied that he did it all to the police.

I think the court ruled that the woman not be referred to as a 'victim'. She is to be referred to by her name or by the term 'accuser'. She is only a victim is she was actually raped.
