Kudos to you for changing this man's mind. Most of the dims I run into in the course of my day are intellectual nitwits. Some days I wonder if my "preaching" to the left is worth it. It feels like banging my head against a brick wall.

It's pretty easy if you can find their interest (their soft spot, what they fear). And it really helps if they have a computer because information is so easy to find.
