Dude, Where's My Download?
Opinion Journal

Posted on 07/23/2004 12:54:03 PM PDT by annyokie

"The 9/11 Commission Report" is available for $9 from Barnes & Noble's Web site, which informs us that "people who bought this book also bought" these titles:

"Dude, Where's My Country?" by Michael Moore

"Worse Than Watergate: The Secret Presidency of George W. Bush" by John Dean

"Perfectly Legal: The Secret Campaign to Rig Our Tax System to Benefit the Super Rich--and Cheat Everybody Else" by David Cay Johnston

"Thieves in High Places: They've Stolen Our Country and It's Time to Take It Back" by Jim Hightower

"Legacy: Paying the Price for the Clinton Years" by Rich Lowry As reader Mark Mogle notes: "All but one are left-wing propaganda books! So what does this mean? Most shoppers at B&N are liberals? Mostly liberals are reading the 9/11 report? Or liberals are dumb enough to purchase a book that you can download free!"

I vote for the last option!

I'm thinking of stocking my home library with a copy to keep factoids about Clinton failures handy for after dinner arguments. Why not? At $8, it's 1.3c/page. And it helps thin overgrown federal forests, so it's pro-environment too.

It just proves that the 9/11 commission was a liberal venture from the beginning and the liberals are desparately hoping that somebody will prove that W is evil and flew one of the planes himself.

W flew all 4 planes. It's in the report. </sarcasm >

The liberals would readily believe that W flew all those planes---EXCEPT that they are working too hard trying to prove W never learned how to fly at all. If he didknow how to fly then he really did serve in the National Guard--but they say he didn't. Shucks. That is what happens when liberals tell one lie too many and end up outsmarting themselves.

Maybe we should check here!

The File Bergler

He went to see the documents,
You know the Secret kind.
What happened as he left the place,
Will surely blow your mind.
Somehow, weeks later, it appears,
They asked him where they’d gone.
He looked around and sure enough,
His socks were not alone.
His pants and jacket they were stuffed,
With papers large and small.
Osama and Al Qaeda too,
Just little things that’s all
Some he’d thrown away he said,
But those were nothing big.
Old Sandy is a clutter bug,
Announced the Clinton pig.
So shake it off and move along,
You know we’re honest men.
The Clinton mob would never lie,
Oops we’ve been, caught again.

I've been reading the PDF online but then again I have a 23" Apple Cinema HD display which makes it possible, if not effortless.

For a government report, it's an excellent read. I've already devoured the first 80-odd pages.

Of the four flights that are profiled in the article, in all but one they dredged up information implying that the hijackers were, not unsurprisingly, incompetent pilots who barely kept the planes in the air for the required period.

I recommend reading it just for the factual content, much of which has not been revealed before to my knowledge.

23"? My Cornea 19" is having monitor envy.

I don't mind PDF's, Lord knows I had to read a million of them in grad school.

Thanks for the info. I haven't had time to read it yet.

By the way when I saw the video of the second plane hitting the tower, my brother said "look how they flew at an angle to do the most damage". I am a pilot and I said, "no he was banking to turn because he was about to miss the building."

My husband who was a pilot for over 20 years (US Army) said the same thing.

Damn right. I would list the volumnious replies from my husband's pilot buddies, but I hate to crash a server.

Me too. Thank him for his service. I did not fly in the USAF, I was a techy. I am just a private pilot with single engine land and seaplane rating. I may have 400 hrs, (I didn't start til 40). But aviation is my lifelong love. I eat drink and sleep it.
