Your comment jarred my memory and yes, you are correct.

But, in fact that proves my point. FairOpinion said that if only someone took Woods seriously, 9/11 could have been prevented.

It turns out that the FBI did take hinm seriously, and it wasn't. Fact is it couldn't have been.

The 13 musicians were also subjected to police checks on arrival in LA. I'm sure their baggage was opened and inspected, and the plane searched. It would have been irresponsible to do less. They were cleared.

What is the problem here? What do you people want?

"It turns out that the FBI did take hinm seriously"

That was AFTER 9-11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which you would know, if you bothered to read the article, as I suggested several times.

But, again, you not only ignore, but REFUSE to even look at facts, because facts refute your position.

Oy again. The FBI took Woods' initial report, like they should have done. But did they take it seriously? Did they do any followup? We don't know, but obviously it wasn't enough, whatever it was. They only contacted Woods to go over the information again AFTER 9-11 had happened.

And if the 4 hijackers Woods had reported were given a thorough police check upon touchdown, THEY would have been cleared also, because it was a DRY RUN. They weren't carrying any weapons, and likely they had clean backgrounds and weren't on any terrorist watch lists (because our pre 9-11 watch lists were minimal).

So just because the 14 Syrian "musicians" were cleared after the police checks, doesn't mean it wasn't a DRY RUN and that they're not terrorists.

Do you remember the term "lilly whites"? That means they were recruiting people who have NO criminal background, and NO terrorist ties, and NO way to trace them as being suspicious. ALL 14 of the Syrian "musicians" were cleared with NO criminal backgrounds?? THAT, in itself, is suspicious to me! What are the chances we could get any 14 Freepers together and have ALL 14 completely clear of any criminal activity or police reports? I wouldn't bet a nickle on it.

And who's to say their passports and IDs weren't ALL false, which is why they had NO record of police interaction on ANY of the 14. A band of musicians? Yep, sounds pretty lilly white to me.

Well, I can't help but notice that frisking and screening these people after the flight would have done no good had they crashed the plane into a crowded building before they landed.

Seems to me the goal should be to stop hijackings before they happen, not to investigate them after.

Of course we will respect the rights of all travelers in doing this, but ignoring the obvious relationship between groups of middle eastern men and hijacking will not stop hijackings and, in my opinion, shows utter disregard for the rights of the thousands of potential victims of hijackings (a group that includes me and, provided you do not live full-time in the NORAD bunker, you).
