Actually what we have here is 'Liberty Victoria' - used to be the Victorian Council for Civil Liberties - and they get involved in some very stupid issues on occasion - I haven't seen them weigh in on this one, though.
My wife taught Denyer's last victim - the girl was killed on her way home from school. The man is complete scum, and there were a lot of schools for the reintroduction of the death penalty - as it was, the Judge made a mistake at his trial and that prevented him being given a true life sentence - he'll probably serve 30 years and be out in his fifties.
Unless he convinces authorities he's still just as nuts - so as far as I'm concerned, keep on trying, Paul. Keep on fighting for your right to be a woman - keep on showing the authorities what a nutcase you are
Heck, WOMEN can't wear makeup in prison, why should a guy be allow to?
Or turn him into a woman and put him in a cell with other men like himself who enjoy murdering women.
Just for the sake of accuracy, Denyer's crimes were not spread over a three week period - Elizabeth Stevens was killed on 11th June, 1993. Debbie Fream was killed on 8th July, and Natalie Russell on 30th July - so it was about 8 weeks. I live in Frankston, and I did back then as well - it was a terrifying time for women after the second killing when everybody knew there was a serial killer out there.
Denyer also assaulted one other woman, and was quite likely responsible for another murder three years earlier (officially still unsolved).
Scum of the earth.
