McCullough: BERGER TOOK NUMEROUS BATHROOM BREAKS/DIDN'T TELL KERRY OF INVESTIGATION TILL THIS WEEK
CROSSWALK NEWS ^ | 7.22.2004

Editorial - "Evidently Berger at one point in his October 2 visit began to raise eyebrows because of frequent bathroom breaks as well. The Washington Post which has managed to largely ignore the Berger scandal finally did admit in a piece today that Berger's behavior caught the monitor's attention early on."

"After his September visit, with documents seemingly missing, the Archive monitors coded pages Berger was interested in upon his October visit. Sure enough those papers ended up missing as well. Some of which were recovered at his home at the behest of the FBI and others must have inadvertently gotten up and walked away...According to this same report Berger supposedly did not bother to tell Kerry anything about the investigation until the scandal broke this week..."

I hear a great flushing sound from the investigation... probably the draft copies with handwritten notes from Reno telling Clinton if he thinks they can check every immigration violation to thwart terrorism that he's nuts and would lose votes...

Don't we have treason laws, and why are they not being followed?? THIS MAN STOLE HIGHLY CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS, HELLO GOVERNMENT!!!...WHY, pray tell do we have laws and not make them work for us.

I am sick and tired of our military being blasted for every little thing they do, and men like Berger and the "laptop" thief who took SECRET documents home, and Clinton pardoned him. WHAT is point of a secret security clearance if you can take the papers home for show and tell???

Yeah, and maybe he's a terrorist too. They take too many bathroom breaks on airplanes.

These people are soooooo foolish. Have they no dignity?

Bet they had to call roto rooter after each Berger visit. Of course Sandy will argue it is all OK since they did not post a sign in the men's rooom akin to the airplane signs advising just exactly what paper should and should not be put down the fixtures.

I think the very least Sandy Sox will have done to him will be to have his security clearance lifted.

I think Berger knew the 9-11 report would raise more questions so he flushed the docments that would be questioned.

Republican House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-TX) called Berger's actions "just a third-rate burglary." Donch just love the "Two-Party Cartel" and their protection of the criminal factor of that cartel.

Pretty amazing, isn't it?

I feel like I am living in a "bizarro" world, ala Seinfeld.

Off subject here, but in this Coachella Valley there's a large Mexican population; most public loos have signs in the stalls - en Espanol y Ingles - stating "Please put soiled paper in the toilet and flush".

Our plumber told us it's a "Mexican down home" thing that he'll find even in nice homes here - a box near the toilet where the used paper gets tossed....something to do with the 'pit sytems' they have in Mexico, so it's ingrained in them NOT to flush paper.

It's an allusion to Watergate, which was initially downplayed as a "third-rate burglary." You have to be of a certain ripe age to catch the sarcasm.

I think turning a blind eye to Berger's crime is just part of the whole 9-11 deal between the two political parties.

No blame for Klintoon or Bush and let's dump on the CIA/FBI as they don't have a large constituency to protect them.

As far as learning from 9-11, tough luck for Americans as our rulers know they will always survive or have a safe haven somewhere. In fact terror plays into our rulers' interests as it can be used as justification for new taxes and new laws to control us.
