Radio shock-jock, Howard Stern, the self-described "King of All Media" has joined the ranks of
other AARP membership eligible celebrities in their crusade to defeat President Bush.
In his hey-day he was a paragon of the cutting edge now he sits in the easy chair of conformity,
taking his place among the Coalition of the Irrelevant. Yearning to be hip again, he has performed
the ultimate in uncool, the political equivalent of putting his baseball cap on backward, and imagining
he is a rebel once more.
I must admit, there was a point in my life when I listened to Stern religiously. I purchased his "Underpants and Negligee" video,
actually went out to Nassau Coliseum to catch his "U.S. Open Sores" tennis match.

I read both of Howard's books before I moved to an a market that broadcast his show. His books were much better than anything I heard on the air.
Good article. Stern really has turned his back on everything he used to be about. As somebody else put it, Imus was able to grow up and come up with a second act in his career; Stern just looks pathetic and ignorant.
