Is there some kind of stupid virus going around among entertainment executives on the left. Does someone really need to explain to executives who are in the business of entertaining people that you don't gratuitously piss off half of your audience and expect to stay in business?

Some of them don't get it yet. When they start losing money, they'll understand the message.

I honesttly believe that many of the media left types place furthering the liberal agenda slightly above maiximizing profits. Sure, they want to make money, but if the way to make the most money is to make nothing but family-friendly fare like Princess Diaries, or by providing content like Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck or Brit Hume, they will usually say no.
Princess Diaries was wonderful yet inoffensive, and I never realized that it was G until long after I had seen it. It was equally suitable for children and adults, and adults did not need to feel like they were watching something aimed only at children. It made tons of money.
If you look at a lot of the content aimed at our children on, say, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network, you may perceive an agenda to expose our children to darkness, ugliness and disrespectful attitudes. Yes, I know a lot of CN is made for adults, but they know kids will be permitted to watch it. Most parents will not block CN, because it has one good show, Scooby Doo. (I block it).
