That outfit looks better than the football stadium blanket she was wearing earlier this year. And then there was the horizontal striped outfit...

Do these people really think that we would have shot planes down that day?

No way.

So far this appears to be a pretty balanced report, I'm sure Chrissy will politicize it in his post presentation remarks

"The FBI did a HORRIBLE job."

There are reasons that the FBI and CIA did not get it all.....years of Congressional oversight weakening their abilities...
I just saw where the FBI agent behind the screen was told that there was no criminal case so he was not allowed to do further on his investigating -
Well, after years of the ACLU and Shark type lawyers and freak activist going after Law Enforcement folks....it finally shows the end result....Law Enforcement folks afraid to do their jobs totally in fear of getting hammered or sued by the freaks....
THE ACLU TYPES AND THEIR LIBERAL PALS ARE GOING TO HAVE TO ACCEPT THAT THEY HELPED CAUSE THIS ORGANIZATIONAL MESS.

Well .. since I saw a wand screaning them .. I'm guessing the screeners should have been mind readers

I can just imagine they would be very understanding and supportive of shooting a plane out of the sky. NOT!

Oh yeah........here come the pundits to tear it apart.

Lisa Myers is pretty fair, IMO. Remember, they creamed her about the blue dress -- and it turned out she was right.

Box cutters less than 4" in length were allowed...if the screeners didn't see a threat.

That was then, this is NOW!

Why did Al Gore really drop out?  12-17-02  WorldNet  Gore Commission/Airline Safety

After the events of Sept. 11, Al Gore must have hoped no one remembered.

But someone did.

On Sept. 20, 2001, the Boston Globe broke the story of how the so-called Gore Commission had failed in its mission to address airline safety.

White House Commission on Aviation Safety and SecurityWhite House Commission on Aviation Safety and Security Final Report

Chapter Three:  Improving Security for Travelers

Referred to following potential threats:

Terrorism (general), Biological, Chemical, Surface to Air Missles, Bombs, IED's, Profiling, Baggage Clearance, Airport Personnel

No mention of Planes as Weapons/Missles or Security of Cockpit Doors

Recommendation from Initial Report dated September 9, 1996

The system will be designed and constructed in incremental stages providing varying levels of service as early as April, 1997.

3.17. Establish an interagency task force to assess the potential use of surface-to-air missiles against commercial aircraft.

Recommendation from Initial Report dated September 9, 1996

Assess the viability of anti-missile defense systems.. Whether or not the explosion of TWA 800 turns out to have been due to a surface-to-air missile attack, as some eye-witness accounts suggest, missile attacks have downed passenger planes in other countries, and it is a risk that should be evaluated. The Commission will continue to analyze this problem in cooperation with the Department of Defense and other government agencies.

Status

DoD will convene an interagency task force to examine the threat to civil aircraft.
