What Really Happened on Flight 327? By JOE SHARKEY
Published: July 20, 2004
There is no doubt that something out of the ordinary happened on Northwest Airlines Flight 327 from Detroit to Los Angeles on June 29. The plane was met at the airport by squads of federal agents and police responding to radio messages from the pilots about concerns that 14 Middle Eastern male passengers had spent the four-hour flight acting suspiciously.

On the other hand, we don't know what Security/Intel agencies are doing regarding this matter..maybe there are now 14 new faces on the watch list. Security/Intel is NOT going to share their professional conclusions with us citizens.
" at that point, said Mr. Jacobsen, who added that he clutched a pen in his hand to use as a weapon--"
There is something very sad about the mental image this statement invokes.
Move along, nothing to see here.
It's just an isolated incident.
Link to the author's original story were in the Times article.
What else needed to have been said about the matter to raise the hairs on the back of your neck??
Yes, appearing at the Aladdin with Ronstadt. Now, she will have to let them go, due to a drop in bookings. /just kidding
I confess to being riveted by the story to the very end, when it was revealed that nothing happened and they were just musicians. Jacobsen almost seemed disappointed, so she had to make the strange claim that al Qaeda doubles as a music school.
Though I don't have the utmost confidence in the FBI, I feel fairly certain that they called the casino and confirmed that these guys were scheduled to play and that they sent an agent to make sure they showed up.
The creeps at the Times couldn't dredge up enough to attack this woman as being a racist hatemonger, so they're having to settle for attacking her for just being paranoid. This despite that absolutely nobody has any idea whatsoever what these guys were up to, if anything.
Syrian musicians. Have any of us ever seen any concert listing describing musicians from the Middle East? If ever there was a flimsy cover story, this is it. I'd love to see them assembled together and asked to play a song.
I posted this not as a debate about how good or bad the NY Times is. It was posted for the CONTENT, about how our "politically correct" methods of dealing with terrorists( or potential ones) are going to get more of us killed.
BTW.....If it makes you happy, I got my posted link off of conservative World Net Daily. Can you please find a diff. bone to pick?

Good for you, I agree. I also know that this writer IS actively looking into why no one can locate this "band" or any relevent information as to what is really going on with these guys. It costs quite a lot of money to fly 14 guys around like this, there is a paper trail to follow somewhere and people ARE looking even if no info is coming out right away.
couldn't be any worse than the crap that comes on FM radio these days.
