Honest Mistake? Laughable CNN headline attempts to exonerate burglary of secret files by former Kerry shadow minister and former Clinton National Security Advisor. This is some laughable response typically seen on most COPS reality shows where the perpetrator claims he does not have a clue about how that crack cocaine came to be in his pocket.

I suppose his "honest mistake" was not making sure the documents were well concealed as he was walking out the door.

Or maybe, he hadn't checked to make sure the guard on duty was a Clinton appointee...

Or maybe...

Oh HECK!!! There is no way in hell that this can, in any way, be called a mistake.

That was my first thought when I watched him speak for the first time since this came to head, like, "Huh? What officer? Th-- Th-- That aint mine! I dunno who's that is, or how it got there."

I have a feeling this story has legs -- sock-stuffed legs, but legs nonetheless.

Try as they may, I don't think the liberal media will be successful at burying this one.

The more they attempt to excuse this, the more damning it becomes--this one has the legs and stink of a marathon-running skunk. And that skunk is called the DNC.

I know I wrote this before, but it bears repeating:

The premise behind this defense, as articulated by Clinton and burglar Berger, is that he is a bumbling, stumbling well meaning incompetent.

Incompetent yes, honest mistake, no way!

For an incredibly stupid comment, he sure made a name for himself being the head of the NSA, caught with classified documents sticking out of his knickers. I'll bet his wife fell into the apple pie face first while it was still in the oven when Burglar got caught with his Hanes full.

Just imagine what would happen to you or me trying to get something confidential out of that place?

The guards didn't all of a sudden say, "Oh, that's Mr. Burger, he can take anything he wants out of here."

I don't buy it.

Oh HECK!!! There is no way in hell that this can, in any way, be called a mistake.

Since he has been under investigation since October, 2003, I must ask this question:
WHY DOES HE ONLY RESIGN FROM THE KERRY CAMPAIGN THE DAY AFTER IT IS EXPOSED IN THE MEDIA ??

tELL ME kERRY WASN'T AWARE OF THIS WHEN HE HIRED HIM.

Parsing alert! If Berger was stealing documents for the purpose of jump-starting Kerry's foreign policy platform with some of Dick Clarke's fab tunes, that wouldn't in and of itself hinder the inquiry.

just like any reality cops show ever shown on television.

The only national Demo worth a tinkers d... is not even running to stay in the Senate and is leading "Democrats for Bush"

Do not forget that about 10, 15 percent of Democrats are conservative but they have little representation in their own party now.

GO ZELL!

I'd say Kerry probably hoped it wouldn't have busted wide open. Kerry's campaign has been looking for some way to ding President Bush over the War On Terror.

I don't believe anyone commissioned by the x42's to do anything was/is capable of making an honest mistake. Nor would he/she have been intended to do such a thing.

Kerry wants to ding Bush on war on terror?

No, Kerry and the Democrats have had a primary where their candidates, save one Joe Lieberman, had an argument over how white their flag was.

Kerry articulated his French based foriegn policy in December when he stated he wanted, in essence, a parley with the terrorists.

It's logical that Kerry would want to attack Bush's strength. The American people trust Bush more than the do Kerry when polled on the War On Terror. Kerry and his cronies are playing this out as some VRWC hatched to bring him down, when it was Sandy Berger doing this on his own time since October of 2003, while working in the Kerry campaign as a former Clinton cronie.

Stuffing classified documents in your pants for five days and taking them home is not a mistake. Its a crime. This guy worked as a National Security Advisor for 8 years, he knew the law.
