The left doesn't so much hate Bush as they hate the fact that conservatism is making a comeback in this country. GW just happens to be in office at a point in history when the left and right are about equal.
No, they hate him personally. They really do. I was remembering the other day, that Bush's limo was pelted by angry crowds was winding through the streets of Washington. This was after the Inauguration ceremony. Gives me the shivers just remembering that.
At certain times, through the last few years, when Bush's popularity was sky-high e.g post 9/11, post-Afghanistan, I thought that he would be handily re-elected and it would be roses they would throw at his cavalcade and not tomatoes. Now it's turned back to the same blind post-2000 election hatred by the Democrats. If Bush does win on November 2nd (and he does deserve to), he WILL be accused of stealing the election again. That's why I pray he wins in a landslide and not in a close race again.
The liberal establishment truly hates PresBush. He is the focus of their attention. Being out of power since 1994, has turned the Librat political machine into a high gear effort of total desperation. Rich Lowery's article makes the point crystal clear. No matter what Bush says or does, he can't win with the political left of center. It was obvious early on that the Democrats weren't about to let the President change the tone in WashDC. The left is enamored with gutter politics. Conservatives beware.
