Here's a keeper.
Q:You've spoke about having seen the children's prisons in Iraq. Can you describe what you saw there?
A:The prison in question is at the General Security Services headquarters, which was inspected by my team in Jan. 1998. It appeared to be a prison for children toddlers up to pre-adolescents whose only crime was to be the offspring of those who have spoken out politically against the regime of Saddam Hussein. It was a horrific scene. Actually I'm not going to describe what I saw there because what I saw was so horrible that it can be used by those who would want to promote war with Iraq, and right now I'm waging peace.

Scott Ritter: It's a damn shame what that Hussein did! Little girls as young as ten, imprisoned in a steel fortress. They should have been going out with me goddammit! Why?(!) WHY???

Ritter can drop dead and make the world a cleaner and safer place to live. That's my positive input.

Thanks for the post O.C.
"....and right now I'm waging peace."
Ok where do I start...
Mr Ritter prior to this snippet says that he does not want to discuss what occurred in the prison because it was so graphic and disturbing that he knew it would be used as justification, at least partially, for going to war. And the atrocities were used as part of the justification, anyway.
My question is are you Mr. Ritter truly "waging peace" (what an oxymoron) If you knowingly withhold information from the public about human right abuses. Is there peace in the families of those victims, and in the souls of those that survive those hell holes. Mr. Ritter I hope that you can live with yourself, now that the atrocities have been documented, and the facts about WMD are starting to come out. It also begs a more important question; What else have you withheld?
