Republican Senate Race : Moderate Johnny Isakson, Black Conservative Herman Cain are the front runners. Isakson was considered a shoo-in for the nomination, Cain has come from nowhere to possibly force a runoff. Polls show a huge Isakson lead, but internals from both campaigns show a much closer race. In the last couple days Isakson has dropped his WIN rhetoric to "We should be ok" rhetoric, indicating that his internal polling shows Cain forcing a runoff -- Isakson is well known, his numbers in a runoff will be roughly his numbers tonight (most likely around 45%. The key will be Cain, if he approaches or breaks 30% he will be a 50-50 bet in the runoff as he will get almost all the other candidates voters.

Dem Senate Primary - wide open field led by 1st term Representative Ultra-Liberal Denise Majette. Majette is expected to win handily tonight, but is seen as a sacrificial lamd in November.

The other race mentioned - Whack job "ITS DA JOOS FAULT" Cynthia McKinney is back to try and get the Congressional seat Majette won from her back.

You know what I can't figure out?

Why did Majette give up a safe seat for what'll likely be a futile race for Senate?

Was she afraid of running against Cynthia "Big Mouth" McKinney again?

Can I take it that there is no corresponding Republican primary in US House District 4 because the pubbie candidate is unopposed?

You think the Mac Collins will fall to Cain?
