You and I know that Kerry knew the info was obtained illegally, but its another thing to indict a sitting U.S. senator/presidential candidate on these charges and then convict him. I'd love to see it happen, but we won't most likely.

You are jumping ahead. I think it is unhelpful to inject cynicism too early. If a presidential candidate breaks the law, we need to be properly outraged and make a big stink, not saying aw shucks he'll walk.

I'm not trying to inject cynicism or saying that we shouldn't make a big stink over it. But what I am saying is that between the stonewalling tactics of the 'Rats, the whitewashing tactics of the mainstream press, and the usual tepid response that we see from the congressional Pubbies during incidents like this, I doubt if Kerry will see any indictments anytime soon. Although I was encouraged at seeing the outraged remarks by two GOP senators today (Chambliss and Gordon, IIRC).

Our best shot is to make sure every person we know that is likely to vote gets an earful of this now, and all through the election cycle. If every Freeper can influence one or two people to either vote for Bush or not vote for Kerry and instead stay home, who knows what kind of impact that could have. Florida and New Mexico were decided by a handful of votes last time (although I expect the FL Panhandle to vote heavily this time, unlike 2000 when the media told them it was over, giving Bush a more comfortable win this time), so I see this having more of an impact on a grass-roots level rather than in a legal venue. But I am definitely not saying we should just forget it and move on.
